About The Show
The 15th day of the 8th lunar month marks the Mid-Autumn Festival, when the moon is at its fullest—and so are our hearts with the desire to reunite. This traditional festival carries the ancient romance of longing under the moonlight, and within it, the modern-day warmth of what “home” truly means to us.
This year, Shin Yun introduces a brand-new concept: the “Family Banquet-Style Concert”, presenting “Melodies Beneath the Mid-Autumn Moon” concert. Breaking away from the traditional concert hall setup, we invite you and your loved ones to gather around the dining table, surrounded by soft lighting and the aroma of delicious cuisine—ready for a heart-touching night of Chinese instrumental music.
This is more than just a concert—
It’s a Mid-Autumn feast you can hear, taste, and feel.
A Musical Journey Through Time and Emotion
In this special evening, we’ve curated a selection of classic Mandarin pop hits spanning decades—reimagined and performed with traditional Chinese instruments. Each note not only evokes cherished memories but also breathes new life into familiar melodies. We hope that somewhere in this concert, one particular phrase or tune brings back a long-lost emotion and rekindles the gentle bonds between people.
Music × Cuisine × Connection
The “family banquet-style concert” is more than just a theme—it’s an immersive experience. On the night of the performance, audiences will be seated at round tables, enjoying a thoughtfully prepared Mid-Autumn dinner while experiencing the magic of Chinese music up close. Between gourmet dishes and heartfelt melodies, you’ll rediscover the warmth and flavor of reunion.
This is our interpretation of tuan yuan—a heartfelt gathering—and our hope to bring music closer to the home, and to the soul.
