Presenting Persatuan Bunyi-bunyian Shin Yun's 2024 Concert "Echoes from the Dragon's Century"! The theme for this concert is inspired by the piece "The Age of the Dragon" composed by maestro Kuan Nai-Chung. It symbolises the significance of the year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac coinciding with the beginning of the 21st century, which marks prosperity and fortune.

Besides performing various musical works of ethnic Chinese minority cultures, the spotlight of this concert is the first movement of maestro Kuan Nai-Chung's Age of the Dragon, "The Sun". The "new century" symbolises new hope and prosperity, whereas the "Sun" symbolises faith and unwavering strength. Percussion duo Ong Khit Ling and Victor Tan Ian Hon of Persatuan Bunyi-bunyian Shin Yun will be performing on the Oriental percussion and Western percussion instruments respectively.

Mr. Leong Han Kuei steps into the composition limelight again with a brand new piece, the Soprano Sheng concerto "Legend of Tun Perak", performed by Woo Yong Sheuan. This specially commissioned work narrates the legendary experiences of Tun Perak, one of the courageous and prominent figures in Malaysian history, who led the resistance against foes during the Malaccan empire.
