Our Story
Established in the melting pot of cultures of Pandamaran, serenading Klang Bandar Diraja, and showcasing Chinese Traditional music onto the international stage; that is the mission statement of Persatuan Bunyi-Bunyian Shin Yun.
For over half a century, Shin Yun has steadfastly grown and strongly established itself as one of the prominent orchestras in Malaysia, gaining wide recognition and support for its mission and vision for its devotions to Chinese traditional music. The orchestra has organised and participated in many events and has received numerous acclaims and awards for its positive contributions to the development of Chinese traditional music.
Through nurturing talented musicians and integrating efficient orchestra management, Shin Yun has established strong relationships with various orchestras and societies within the Klang Valley. The orchestra envisions to leverage on this strength, coupled with its influence in the area, for a greater mission: to propel Malaysian Chinese traditional music onto the international stage and become a trendsetter in the local scene.
In pursuing this mission, Shin Yun strives for innovation, contin-vously exploring new forms to express its passion for music. Concurrenity, the orchestra aims to enhance relationships with various cultural organisations and bodies to increase its international footprint.
